How long
is the Therapeutic Massage course?
The main course needed for licensure as a massage
therapist is 512 class hours, divided into 100 hour modules.
This is normally taught at 14 hours a week resulting in a 9 month
course length. There are some variations in class length for
night classes, or for accelerated learning. The State of
Illinois mandates that the clock hours be at least 500 hours in
certain subjects. We adhere to these requirements, and add
more time in business/practice management and entrepreneurship.
|
|
If I
miss class, can I make it up?
Yes, class days or hours missed can (and must) be
made up. We try to have make up the same week if possible.
Each 100 hour module must be complete and the final written and
massage test passed before the student can move on to the next
module.

|
Do I need a
license to practice massage therapy?

To obtain a license, you must have completed at least 500 hours from
