Classic Touch School of Therapeutic Massage is an Illinois State Board of Education approved private vocational school.

 School Philosophy

Classic Touch School of Therapeutic Massage prides itself on setting the standard to integrate massage therapy into a traditional healing environment.  We are able to do this by combining East/West modalities that are complementary to a traditional or an alternative massage practice.

 Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive education in the vocation of Therapeutic Massage that incorporates conventional and holistic skills.  Our goal is to harmonize body, mind, and spirit through touch.

 Objectives

Upon graduation a student shall

  • Demonstrate proficiency in massage therapy techniques.

  • Show an understanding of the foundations and history of massage therapy and its effectiveness.

  • Demonstrate appropriate preparation for massage.

  • Show a working knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it applies to massage therapy.

  • Show an understanding of professional standards, business practice and ethics as they apply to massage therapy.             

  • Demonstrate procedures for developing a plan of care based on assessment of client’s needs.

Credentials

  • Classic Touch School of Therapeutic Massage is an approved Private Vocational School by the Illinois State Board of Education

  • Member of the International Massage Association an American Massage and Bodywork Professionals (ABMP)

  • Certificate of Approval to Operate issued by the Illinois State Superintendent of Education, 100 N. First Street, Springfield, IL. 62777

The 512-hour course will provide students with the formal classroom and clinical massage knowledge to meet the educational requirements of the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations (IL DPR), and will allow students to sit for the national board examination.
